Profile – Alison Munsch (Principal)

Alison Munsch, PhD is a seasoned, creative, innovative professional with a depth of experience in marketing research, strategy development, multicultural insights, and teaching marketing, consumer behavior, international business, statistics, and research topics at the university level.

She is an analytics specialist, proficient in quantitative methods including multivariate analysis using statistical packages, and qualitative methods including the use of projective techniques. In addition, she is an effective, insightful storyteller and collaborator. With over 20 years of experience, she has a proven track record of identifying organizational opportunities, developing productive professional relationships, and managing strategic initiatives in support of effective organizational decision-making.

Alison Munsch is an Associate Professor at the La Penta School of Business at Iona University where she is a Faculty Senate Award recipient. During her career as an educator, she has been a Teaching Excellence Award recipient where she regularly coaches students on their careers and advises students on the application of the course topics she teaches to their professional development. Alison Munsch was recently Chair of the La Penta School of Business’ Diversity Task Force.  She is currently serving at Iona University as the Interim Associate Provost for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB).

Alison Munsch is the founder and principal owner of Insights for Actions Research, a marketing and research consulting organization. She has worked in the capacity of research professional in premier organizations including The Gillette Company, Pepsi Cola Company, Kraft Foods, and MetLife.

Alison Munsch holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Economics from City College of the City University of New York, and a Master’s Degree in Applied Research from Queens College of the City University of New York. She is a Psychology and Interdisciplinary Inquiry Ph.D. from Saybrook University with a research emphasis in organizational consulting, marketing, and consumer behavior. She specializes in thematic analysis and multicultural perspectives in her research.

Alison Munsch is the Vice President for Strategic Planning for the International Information Management Association and is also President-Elect for the organization (http://iima.org/wp/). She is the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the Connecticut Chapter of the American Marketing Association.

Alison Munsch is an experienced RIVA© trained moderator and a Synecticsworld© trained facilitator. She is a published author.

Alison Munsch is a devoted wife and mother of a GenZ and a Millennial.
